Toyota Aqua
The Aqua (sold in Europe as the Prius C) is one of the most popular hybrid imports on Irish roads. It routinely returns over 25 km per litre, and running costs are tiny. Supply at auction is enormous, so prices are low and you can choose on colour, grade and mileage.
Honda Fit
Sold in Ireland as the Jazz, the Fit is one of the most practical small cars ever made. The rear 'magic seats' fold flat or flip up to carry tall items, and the Fit Hybrid is exceptionally economical. 1,612 Fits came in from Japan in the first nine months of 2025, the most of any Japanese-brand car.
